Unhealthy Disney food goals

Unhealthy Disney Foods

So I came across this site before visiting Disney. I am a foodie and I believe that the worst foods for you are probably the best tasting. So eating these foods immediately became my life goal. I've only eaten two of them so far. But I will talk about them extensively.

First up:

1. Ahi Tuna Nachos

These bad boys are found at Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom. These are hands down the best nachos Disney has. Those lobster nachos over in Cali have nothing on these.

I have Disney to thank for my newly acquired taste for ahi tuna. This dish is the perfect blend of tasty crispy won tons for chips, an aioli covering the tuna and dish and topped off with a coleslaw. Seriously this chef should win Michelin.

2. Baked S'mores Alaska

We devoured this at The Boathouse at Disney Springs. This is a gigantic monstrosity that will set you back $40. It was actually bigger then I thought it would be. When it came out the entire dining room got quiet and started. We managed to eat most of the ice cream.

Guardians of the Galaxy

I had never had any desire to see Guardians of the Galaxy. I had heard it was suppose to be good but I had never gotten around to watching it, then I saw a preview for the second one and thought it looked horrible. So I wrote the franchise off.

Disney has been updating the parks with this movie, DCA has converted tower of terror and Epcot is getting a GOTG roller coaster. So my curiosity was peeled. What is so great about these movies that they are adding A list attractions for it?

So I finally watched the first one yesterday and OMG I think I have a new favorite! What a exciting, fun and emotional film. I was in tears within the first 5 mins, (I was tired, just got back from Disney!) and after that I was completely vested.

I actually liked all the characters and the easy fun way the film was presented. The way it also intertwined the music in a meaningful way was great. I immediately rented the second one and I am half way through.

I'm not a fan of thrill rides so unfortunately I wont be going on the rides. I hope hope hope for character appearances in the parks! I checked for DCA and didnt see any. I'll need to buy a little Groot for my shoulder next trip. I saw a number of grown men wearing these at the parks.

Drinks of the trip!! 2019

There is no arguing that Disney has some great food and beverages. I want to highlight and keep track of what I've tried here. My goal is to try and eat and drink all of the things listed in other blogs. This post will just show the drinks I had on this trip.

First up....

One of my favorites, the Smoked Turkey!

This drink is found on their resort drink menu and can be gotten at most of the restaurants in the hotels and some of the parks. It's a sweet drink, but a real drink. It is listed on some blogs as one of their best drinks. I got this at Cape May Cafe.

So the next day we went to Cava Del tequila (Epcot) and had quite a few margaritas.

The Wild one

Dragones Top shelf

Strawberry Basil

The maelstrom

And since that wasnt enough, I had an ice cream martini in France

And this was just day one.

So I was pretty good for the next two days. Then I got to Animal Kingdom. We visited the newer Nomad Lounge. Great food, drink and atmosphere. Here I got a drink called Jenn's Tattoo.

From there I got a spiked Dole Whip
The Kings Cooler

Then, on to one of my favorite bars Trader Sam's! I got Uh Oa. Really need to get something new next time!

The next day we went back to Epcot. I wasnt as bad today hehe. I got plum wine, not pictured and Fior D' Arancio (moscato)

After we finished at Epcot we went to Jiko where I got Jungle Juice

And finally we come to our last day. Had lunch at Mama Melrose, had the bellini cocktail.

And then the last drink of the trip (thank god says my lover and wallet) the Fuzzy taun taun from Olga's catina. !

Star Wars Galaxies edge

Ok so my most recent Disney trip is coming to an end! So sad. We saw so many great things. The new Star Wars land just opened and it was amazing. I'm not even a huge fan anymore but the attention to detail was something else! If you download the Disney play app there is a lot of immersion but I didnt do that. The cast members are very much in character here. Storm troopers are constantly walking around and talk and interact with you. I did ride the Falcon. I wasnt the pilot and wasnt overly impressed, seemed a lot like Star tours. The Olga's catina was amazing and will be a whole another blog. There is a second ride opening in Dec.

New beginnings...or the start of my Disney blog!

Wow. Ok I have not posted in forever. I think I am going to turn this into a Disney blog. Though it will be more of a place for me to keep track of the things I have eaten and drank there lol.
